In the yoga practice, we want to have strong and flexible hips. For many people the hip joints takes a lot of time to open up. A lot of muscles are attaching to this area to stabilize and move the hip joint. A healthy movement pattern is nessecary to use the muscles correctly so that the right muscles can let go while others can strengthen. It is also important for the general health of the musculoskeletal system, for example for the back. In this workshop, we will work on the connective tissue in long passive stretches (yin yoga) and also how to stabilize the hips while opening them in more active movements and postures.
